The inspiration for this piece emerged from a series of drawings where I played with form and repetition. Over time, I decided to translate these two-dimensional explorations into ceramic, giving them a tangible, three-dimensional presence. The project aims to explore the boundary between utility and sculpture, questioning what defines an object as functional or artistic. This piece is part of a larger collection of approximately 100 individual works that function cohesively as a group but can also stand alone. Throughout the process, I experimented with various shapes, glazes, and minerals, integrating different materials to alter the texture of the clay and glazes. The result is a series that is as much about the tactile experience as it is about visual appeal, blurring the lines between form and function. Each piece is individually crafted over a production period of about one month, emphasizing its artisanal nature.
