SHOW MORE INFO
Shaped from a farmhouse in Catalonia, this collection of ceramics uses a mixture of locally sourced clay and white stoneware to assemble complex forms. They are embedded with detritus collected from nearby walks that surround the studio, such as rubble, stones, dust, glass, metals, and unidentified objects, and then finished with common glazes. This mixture of materials is then fired to 1.260º where most of the mineral transformation occurs, offering new geological formations.
The forms are inspired by traditional utilitarian ceramics from Spain as well as liturgical objects.
