GRUTTA
LKKS
MADRID, SPAIN
LKKS Ceramics focuses on high-temperature ceramics, primarily using custom glazes in a fully artisanal process that draws on traditional aesthetics from different countries, updating and combining them. The result is pieces with irregular shapes and mixed glazes that produce intense colors and a sense of varying depths on the surfaces. His decidedly contemporary approach, combined with respect for traditional techniques and craftsmanship, defines his work.
Lucas Marcos Barquilla is an artist, craftsman, and researcher based in Madrid. He was introduced to the world of ceramics during his university years, guided by a professional ceramist from his community. In this discipline, Lucas finds a means of expression through hands-on work, which leads him to incorporate clay into his artistic production and to develop the project LKKS Ceramics.
